i'm sorry if there's already a thread about this somewhere, but so far i haven't seen many people talk about dying by jumping off a tall building, considering it's a somewhat accessible method

it's a pretty cliché method, but efficient given the right circumstances. does anyone have any resources on this? or would like to give their insight at all?

It obviously depends on what your landing is, but falls of 30 meters are generally lethal, though I'd personally aim for 50 if I could since you never know. There are rare freak cases of people surviving these falls, but it generally requires them not to hit a hard surface. Having a relaxed body, such as if you are drunk can also impact your landing, although it's not going to make that big a difference from a great height. Still worth throwing it out there, especially if you need something for your nerves.

Now, that said, the concern with falls IMO usually isn't the efficacy, but it's the publicity. Unless you're jumping off a cliff(which can be problematic if there is mud or soft surface below) generally people are going to see your death, which is rather traumatizing. This includes children so personally I'd generally caution against it unless there really isn't an easier option. Ultimately the choice is 100% yours, I just feel obligated to remind you that there is a moral component with such a public suicide.

thank you for your answer, i think doing it late at night minimizes the chances of a lot of people seeing it. ultimately at least one person will see your leftovers, unless you do it in a very rural space, which is not the case for the majority of people.

for efficiency, you could call an ambulance or the cops and then jump right after, so they could clean u up before the general public spots ur body.

i'm not planning on it, but it's good to have it in mind
