I'm currently on holiday in Poland with my family and my best friend. Tomorrow we're going to a shooting range. I know this isint a good idea but it's almost impossible to get a gun in my country and it would seem like a fast and easy approach.

The worst part is that I don't want to hurt the people around me. It would traumatise everyone and create a lot more problems. I'm seriously desperate. It's unlikely I will go through with it because I haven't had much time to plan and the thought of hurting the people I care about most isint the most pleasant.

Any thoughts or ideas on this?

Very bad idea dude bc:
1) you have an instructor watching you at all times, means you will have maybe 2-3 seconds to accurately aim a weapon and shoot it
2) you have only one chance, if you don't die immediately (e.g. as a result of 1), the help will arrive very fast and you could be saved
3) no matter what's the outcome, you will leave many people in trouble. Your best friend would get traumatized, end up with PTSD and criplling depression probably. Do you want him to ctb as well? The shooting range, the instructor would face a criminal court, company can go bankrupt, another family destroyed
4) if you want to ctb, plan it well and do it without involving 3rd parties. It would most likely end much better for YOU, and not traumatize other people (or at least minimize i)

It might be fine. Not all polygons are very controlled. You should rent the right weapon, perhaps a more manageable shotgun, or a large caliber weapon. You still have to be quick. You will always traumatize people, there is no suicide that makes your loved ones and those who love you happy. Those who don't know you will pretend to be scared and appear sad. They probably won't even have time to get home before they will have published the extraordinary event on all social media with the words "I WAS THERE", and immediately afterwards they will have called relatives and friends. Your gesture would certainly increase the virality of the posts of those around you.

I don't know anything about Polish shoting ranges, however I would have expected you to be fairly closely supervised whilst you have the (I'm guessing the group will all be using the same weapon rather than one each) firearm.
If you attempt and are stopped you may well be held for a time in some form of mental institution for assessment, with all the associated problems for both you and your family.
If injured your family will require to sort out all the challenges involved in dealing with a severely injured person being treated in a foreign Hospital.
If successful your family will forever live with the image and experience of you blowing your head apart, or shooting into your body. This will be messy, shocking and unforgettable.
Please do think this through well before acting. Best wishes.

can you get a hunting license in your country? at least in mine its possible, altho im not sure if they would check my medical records for the license... the hunting license is less restrictive than the personal defense one

the shotgun should be the best one, aiming at the stem of the brain. i wouldnt try anything else for fear of being kept alive in very bad conditions, like unable to move.

I don't think it's a good idea, not just due to traumatizing the other shooters at the range also shooting their guns. More importantly, being able to actually pull it off (while possible) is still a risky endeavor due to there likely being a range safety officer that oversees the range while in use as well as other bystanders who will try to intervene. Even if you are quick, the amount of time to be able to quickly turn the firearm on oneself may not be feasible and even then, due to the intervention of others, may also cause you to fail. @SVEN had good points about why this just isn't a good idea, notwithstanding the moral and ethical aspects, but even the technical and pragmatic aspects too.
