The Dutch government has been trying to prosecute this organisation for years, since they came up with "Middel X" (Sodium Azide) and wanted to spread this to their members. They didn't do this at the end.
The arrest of that 28-year old guy mentioned above is also very dubious. That guy was selling Sodium Nitrite on sites like Ebay. He had been doing so for 2 years and journalists found his identity already 2 years ago, a video about this can be found online. So why did they wait 2 years to arrest him, if they really wanted to prevent suicides? He was also asking reasonable prices for his SN and didn't make much profit out of it.

President of Coöperatie Laatste Wil arrested for assisted suicide
The chairman of Coöperatie Laatste Wil (CLW), Jos van Wijk, has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in assisted suicide. According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, the 73-year-old chairman is suspected of participating in a criminal organization that aims to commit or plot suicide.
Van Wijk's home in Apeldoorn was searched on Tuesday, according to the prosecution. Elsewhere in the country, a home was also searched.
Van Wijk will be questioned on Wednesday, reports his lawyer Tim Vis. The cooperative is disappointed with the arrest, he says. "In addition, Jos distances himself from the idea that there would be a 'criminal organization'. The CLW acts within the framework of the law, strives to expand the legal possibilities and is transparent about this - also to the prosecution. It hurts Jos very much that 27,500 CLW members are being criminalized in this way."

The investigation was launched in response to a number of recent cases of suicide, according to the Public Prosecutor's Office. At this stage, the Justice Department does not want to say how many cases are involved, nor where and when they occurred. "The investigation is ongoing," said an OM spokesperson. "For that reason we do not want to provide more information at this time."
Lawyer Vis also does not know this yet. "We have not yet been notified of the concrete reason," the counsel said.
In July the police arrested a 28-year-old man from Eindhoven on suspicion of selling "suicide pills" to hundreds of people. He was a member of Coöperatie Laatste Wil. According to the judiciary, at least six people died from the drug provided by the man. The investigation against the man was initiated after the death of a woman in Best, in May of this year. Whether the investigation into Van Wijk and that into the Eindhoven man are related is as yet unclear.
Coöperatie Laatste Wil was founded in 2013 and, in its own words, wants to make it possible within the applicable law for people to end their lives in a dignified and safe way.
