Help Cassava Roots

Heard that cassava roots could kill you if eaten raw and in large enough quantities due to it containing cyanide. I haven't seen any mentions of this to do with CTB so was wondering if anyone knew any more about this? i.e. amount needed, how fast you would die. They seem very cheap and easy to obtain and fast and simple with no preparation so quite interesting.
