Capitalism breeds suicide in ways that are subtle, but undeniable. It pushes people into a relentless race for status, money, and "success," leaving those who can't keep up feeling worthless. Economic insecurity, the constant pressure to perform, and the fear of failure lead to hopelessness. People aren't valued for who they are, but for what they can produce, its all so pointless.

The mental health system is a joke—too expensive, too inaccessible. We're told to "pull ourselves up" and "work harder," but in reality, most of us are trapped in jobs we hate, just to survive. The social isolation is suffocating. Relationships are transactional. People are more like competitors than companions, and you end up just existing, not really living.

We're all sold this dream—the idea that if we work hard enough, we'll make it. But that's just a lie. The American Dream is a marketing campaign, a trap. And when you realize you're never going to catch it, the despair is overwhelming. The system isn't broken. It's designed this way, to chew people up and spit them out when they're no longer useful.

Maybe we're just collateral damage in a system that doesn't care, and maybe that's the saddest thing of all.

If you feel this way in a first world country, imagine how we feel in Latin America.

Today I went to a very large supermarket in my neighborhood, and the feeling was one of frustration: so much food, so many good and tasty things, in abundance in the boxes, but so expensive, to the point that to buy an Easter egg, I have to work 8 hours a day, or worse than that: having to choose between X or Y, because I can't buy both. Electronics, not to mention.

I have become horrified by people defending a system as perverse, unfair and unnecessary as capitalism. Deep down, we all have the same end, we are human and we all deserve to have a reasonably comfortable standard of living, but the reality is that throughout our existence we have to do everything we can to survive. I think that if it weren't for that, the place where I live, so unfair, would already be a little more pleasant to live in, but poverty is such that even getting 3 meals is a challenge for thousands here.

People's hunger doesn't matter, but their ability to pay does. The human sense of providing the most needy with the basics is over, that's a "communist thing". Capitalism is the plague.

I've been thinking about the fact that if only the world was different I could have been okay with myself. I could have been okay with having born as an introvert, and being a little slower in doing things than others. But well, society the way it is now rewards people who are more outgoing and can make connections and are very personable.

And of course one needs money if one wants to not starve or be homeless, so you have no choice but to work and grind away. Not to mention only certain types of work pays enough and if you can't go into those fields? Well enjoy that financial anxiety.

I don't have the luxury of taking my time and doing the things that I really want to do. Nor are basic human necessities a given. It's just not a place I feel like I can thrive in. I'm wilting away by the day.
