I'm planning on doing a partial suspension hanging, and the only thing I have access to is a large bedhseet. It is sturdy but also a bit elastic. Can I use this for a partial suspension hanging?

Of course I know three answer is probably yes, as I've heard countless stories about people (mainly prisoners) using this method. But are there any special considerations I should take? If this method is simply not reliable and has a high risk of survival with brain damage, I'll try and get my hands on a rope instead.

Honestly it's not only the sheet but that they've torn it and braided it into a rope itself.

Necessity is the mother of invention.

I've seen threads that say the ligature should be sturdy and not elastic at all. Well I've also l read about using metal rings and padding but I don't know how that works/is effective.

I would like to ask @Evelyn Lane but they are banned.
