It happened weeks back but it still hurts. I never would have thought him and i wouldnt be friends. I have known him for almost 20 years and have been friends for around 6 - 7 years.

Fuck people. Idk how i can trust people again who say they are my friends.

Almost two years ago a lost a friend. I use this word for very few people. He refused incredibly small favor /just to call me, but was urgent and important/, and he knew what that ment. My last contact with him was literally "ok". So we got our friendship for almost 20 years, since we were kids. And he was ready to betray me, and he would have done it, if i haven't forseen it. So f*ck him. I'm glad i got rid of this and realised i had no true friend for that period, so i have lost nothing.

I'm really sorry, really, it's very painful when people walk away, especially when it's someone you trust very much.

Sorry to hear that happened to you. It may take a long time as something else said, to heal that type of pain. Ive had a friend for over 25 years and sometimes his behaviour has me wondering should I walk away. I know it's not the same but I feel for you.

I can relate to that. Its not an easy choice to give up a friend.

I lost a friend of 18 years, not even certain why, just stopped hearing from them (yes they are alive). It sucks, I feel you. It fades however. The reality is my friend hadn't been a real friend in some time. I don't even want them in my life anymore. Maybe it will be the same for you. Hope you feel better soon, either way. :)

This happened to me also when I was at my most ill and bedridden. It's so heartbreaking. I want to send you big hugs and also like @DeathNoot says, the pain will fade over time.

I spent a long time thinking about assassinating mine, but now I am over it. I mean I am not a violent person, but that is how painful it was to be dropped when I was so desperately ill. I dreamt of seeing her suffer. Now I just occasionally wish her suffering!!!

All I can say is that there are good people out there and this will definitely get better - but it is so heartbreaking.

This gave me a laugh! I would say I am in that stage of anger.

Like many people pointed out, a person who is so willing to discard someone in a careless manner could hardly be called a friend in the first place
