Benzos appear to be beyond my ability to procure. Is there an alternative that offers a notable benefit, or would the consensus be to just accept I don't have them and crack on without?

Bump. I've seen protocols on here that don't use benzos but I wanna make sure I'm on the safe side

i will look into that, thank you. All i can get is Amitriptyline currently but not sure that will sedate me enough. Plust i use SSRI's so not sure that would inhibit its effectiveness

Seconded on the hydroxyzine. When I was prescribed it it always made me feel sleepy and relaxed within 30-45 minutes. I'm sure taking a bunch would knock you out immediately.

Quetiapine might work. It's an antipsychotic and also works as antiemetic. I got it prescribed after having repeated psychosis episodes and it helped me relax a lot. I take 50mg everyday to sleep.

I will look into these, though my GP seems so reluctant to prescribe me anything beyond the SSRI's i am currently taking. I may be able to acquire some amitriptyline. I'm hope this might suffice in terms of sedation
