Bedtime prayer

"Now I lay me down to sleep.
I pray that I don't wake.
That I drift off into oblivion,
Never to wake again."

I think I shall start saying this every night.

When I start to waken my first thoughts are " damn , still here , " that's the cleaned up version .

Ive seen so many people on here say they do it and I KNOW I've done it,but I wonder if praying for death before sleep has ever actually worked.I know many people have actually gotten lucky and died in their sleep,but did any of them actually pray for it before hand? And did God just say something like "AAaaahh, okay. I usually don't do this,but just this one time..Just for you,you deserve it".

When I go to bed, I sometimes think that I could stay longer. But when I wake up, and it is often around midnight, I think: well, that is better, it means I can stay alone.
