Beachy Head

For UK posters: Is Beachy Head near / the same as Dover clifts? My mother was from London and moved to the US but we visited a few times. I remember going to the "white cliffs of Dover" once and just wondered if they are one in the same, nearby, or someplace else on the coast.

Ah, well, that solves the whole mystery. Because we visited my grandmother - who lived in Kent. So, we must not have traveled far since she was within walking distance to the beach.
