I've been using one where I get a number next to the envelope that tells me I have a new message............But, then today I went in the chat room and there were two "Private Conversations" that I didn't know about. I had originally conversed, but then it seemed like the PMs or whatever just disappeared.
yeah two types, chat and messaging
chat is usually used if user is online, more suited to conversation in real time
and messaging is not real time,
pm in messaging stays saved
