Are CTB reported in the Local news? (USA)

I don't want my ctb to be reported in the news. Especially if the news reports my name publicly. Are they typically reported on by local news in the USA? Probably going to do it in a public place like a park or empty parking lot. I don't want to make a mess in my home or in my vehicle. Planning to use a 12 gauge shotgun

This is something I've always been paranoid about to. I've always told myself to put in my note that I dont want my death reported by the news. But honestly random suicide stories dont seem to be too common.... unless done in a public place I guess

Even in a public place it depends. A place where I walked my dogs frequently had a dude hang himself from a tree out in the open near houses.

That shit didn't even hit the local area's paper. I think you'll be okay, unless it's of significance, like you're well known or have a certain profession etc.
