I love food, but I can't seem to have a healthy relationship with it, I gorge on one big meal in a day usually of junk food or ordering delivery, if I buy shopping and stock up I'll just eat the tasty foods till I'm full, then not eat for days as nothing sounds appetising, worse than that actually, the thought of eating becomes a chore and sounds disgusting, ill not eat for days untill I'm so hungry I force myself to eat what is really good tasting food but the good taste only makes it manageable enough to just curb my strong hunger. It'll go like that till everything spoils or I eventually make a proper meal and get another shop and after eating a certain amount my appetite kicks back in and I eat loads for days. This is obviously an eating disorder, anyone know what it's called?

I don't know, sounds like you have a bad apetite but then episodes of binge eating? It doesn't seem to fit any particular disorder, maybe its because of depression. Are you on any meds that affect appetite?

Not on meds anymore, I have the effects of having been on anti psychotics long term that I think are permanent which messes with everything in my life including eating and everything around eating; nausea, appetite, and all that. It seems mostly psychosomatic

Eating is one of the pleasures of life.

Junk foods have addctive stuffs that are mean to make you crave for them...
Did you notice that while eating, we dont think about nothing (usually), we are just enjoy a juicy burger, fries, ice cream, or whatever....

I think you need to make a appointment with a doctor. Dont feel bad or shame to look for help.

they'd probably just diagnose you with EDNOS or some form of binge eating disorder even though i don't think you actually fit either of those.

Maybe Avoidant food disorder mixed with binging tendencies? I'm no doctor but it sounds like that. Avoidant food disorder can mean having sensory issues with food, fears of choking, being picky with food, or having little to no interest in food. Try searching up 'Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder' and the binging is just a side effect of not wanting to feel hungry anymore?
