Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

codependency and only having suicidality in common is a big reason why people aren't raring to be friends with everyone on the website. people can also be less inclined to talk since they prefer to make posts, or they're preoccupied with stuff in their life. one way that you can make friends though is by interacting with regulars on the forum by commenting on their posts or their profile. it's easy to keep tabs on an account you're familiar with through the search tab or the news feed. the biggest thing is that most people on this website die or leave, so it kind of feels pointless making friends here. it's hard dealing with someone saying they're going to kill themselves because you worry about them even though they haven't died yet. sometimes it feels like i'm just waiting for people to die or never come back onto the site.
None of them ended up talking with me so you can talk with me if you want : DI would but it looks like you already have a few people offering.
I'm an autistic person as well, and your desire to talk with people like yourself, is why I have a forum suggestion for creating peer-support spaces that would enable people in specific groups with specific issues to talk. a neurodivergent subcategory would be one of those categories. i would certainly use it as well. i would create megathreads for autism resources, and megathreads for many other groups, like SA / DA survivors, Women's issues, Trans issues, Racial (antiquated term IMO) issues and so on. people could also create their own threads talking about their own expeiences within the relevant peer-support category. People deserve spaces to be vulnerable with people who have very similar experiences.
