Always torn

I'm always so torn between telling my closest friends that I plan to be gone come April in fear of a freakout, or a call that will ruin everything.

But then I feel bad for when they just suddenly find out by a new article or it being passed around. It feels so unfair. I can't even confide in the people I care about in my last few months...

Does anyone else feel this way? Like it was something you shouldn't have hidden from them til the day comes?

I know you want to share with them but what are they supposed to do with that information. High chance that they will share it with people that will stop you. Balance the risk vs the reward.

Yes... I understand that. It's just difficult.

Giving someone you like that information also puts them under great stress as well perhaps. They won't consider it a gift of trust in the long run
