People's eyes vary. I keep my phone set on "low blue light" and automatic brightness adjustment and the light version suits me fine.

I struggle to read white text on black, it looks all fuzzy to me and I can't see it, so have to go with the light theme

I switch. It's easier to read with the light theme during the day, or in well lit rooms, but as soon as it starts getting dark out, it's back to the dark theme.

I definitely prefer the older dark version but the only issue I have is that it's hard to see when people embed links into their text.

Im on phone now but I changed it last night on my tablet. I think the first step was under account on my tablet. I don't have an account option on my phone.

I have brain fog and my brain and eyes are very sensitive to colours. Solid colours such as solid black backgrounds hurt me, they literally give me a feeling of pain when I look at them.

I feel best when the screen or the paper I read is white and the letters are black. I also feel good when I see shades of grey or pale nuances or very light green or blue.

We are all different in terms of preferences. For me it's not a matter of preference, I love colours, but my brain can't deal with bright, solid, intense colours.

I keep my phone set to amber lighting 24/7 so the light theme isn't so intense
