Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

my grandma was suffering so much that our private doctor gave her pills to sleep in on.
she was aware what was about to happen and accepted.
that's technically suicide.

my grandpa had either a heart attack or something less bad, i don't remember the details,
but the point is he refused to go in the ambulance.
technically also seems a little bit like suicide, refusing the treatment.
it's definetely a wish to die and not be saved.

my other grandma was also starting to suffer so much from old age that she expressed wanting to die.
she starved herself to death for over a week, assisted by overall bad health.
but the starving definetely did it.

this post is about suicide shaming...
if you asked any of them about their opinion on suicide when they were younger,
i'm pretty sure they all were against it.
(absolutely no diss to them, i'm just making a point, also including myself)

many, before they relate to it, shame suicide, including myself.

but when you're actually in that unescapable pain, suddenly you understand.

we understand when our pets suffer and can't be cured, people can take them to the vet.
why not for humans also?
if it truly has come to the point of unescapeable extreme pain.

merry christmas btw <3

I'm sorry for your losses and I'm sorry they suffered too. That's what seems so cruel. With your first Grandma though, it sounded more like assisted suicide- which was pretty brave (and compassionate) of the doctor. I imagine it does happen more than we know. Even in hospitals- gradually upping the morphine dose. Not necessarily homicide- although, that happens too. 😬

But- that's true. I think maybe the majority of people may not support assisted or individual suicide unless the circumstances are utterly dire and beyond saving. Even some members here have firm ideas that it should be an absolute last resort.

I suppose none of us truly know how we'd feel in another's shoes. I can't say I truly care though. I'd absolutely concede that some people out there would probably love a shot at my life. If I could give it to them and be free if it- I absolutely would! We can't though and- knowing someone else might do a better job really doesn't do much to help us.

i'm sorry your grandparents suffered so much. :( i have a similar story that includes the topic of suicide shaming. my grandpa's brother shot himself in the head. i think he was in his late 70s or 80s. i never met or knew him so i don't know what he was going through. this was the first person of my family i heard of that committed suicide though. my family, especially my grandpa, is extremely religious to the point it has caused religious trauma/abuse/shame yet no one said anything about how suicide is a sin or that he was going to hell for doing it (as far as i know, if they did then that just makes me hate my family even more). but my point is that i agree with u. there's only so much people can do for one another. i don't blame anyone for ending their own life even if it is devastating.
